It all depends on if you like web/design/software-oriented work and whether you have sufficient practice at it. If you have the required knowledge to successfully run your own site or forums, then it really shouldn't be a problem.

If you need any help you can contact me. Once you get to know the basics of it you should be able to get a hang of it. It also depends on the forum software your using.
Forum hosting looks so easy on the outside, but on the inside it is rather difficult and time consuming. But the hard work can pay off it the long run. I recommend that you set a schedule, so that you do get overwhelmed by the tasks that need attention.
Forum hosting not an easy task its entirely depends on your skills and its need Java programming web designing so first of all you should be able to take command on these fields.
forum hosting is not that tough job initially but it get tough when the forum becomes bigger like DP they have around 200k members and there are frequent Database failure.
In my opinion, hosting a forum is much easier. You require almost no prior knowledge of codes/tags/etc. The one requisite, however, would be to have moderators who know what they are doing. Having efficient moderators on your team would ensure a 'clean' forum. In fact, if you google it, you can even find people who are experts in the field and will do the initial set up for you. For a nominal fee, of course.
yess its is easier , you just have to see for spams only rest if you are inviting people with Good incentives then it wil surely be better for your interest and forum making is now hot :D for making money
Dude believe me! making a forum is very easy but getting members who will feed the forum is really difficult. I would never suggest someone (a newbie) to start a forum as there first website. Hosting a forum is really no heck.Even 100mb space will do for a start and a 5gb bandwidth.
Well my experience says that designing and hosting a forum is not a very big deal. But then getting members and making sure that the forum is alive is the biggest deal. Many times forums go dead and all the investment goes for nothing.
I think hosting a forum is easy but working for it, getting members for the same is very tough job. I can say this all with my personal experience. I have one forum but don't work for it because i know i can't get members for the same.
I think hosting a forum is a great way to earn money online. I have never hosted one myself, but I am currently looking to host one. Anyone want to buy one for me to host?
